ADRFCO Questions Nevada About Registration Rules

Due to the lingering questions about Nevada’s implementation of AB 50, which will alter the Nevada state registration requirements for out-of-state Nonprofit Organizations, ADRFCO has written to the Nevada Secretary of State’s Office for clarification. The new Nevada law is due to take effect October 1st, but thus far there has been little guidance as to what will be required for charitable solicitation registration in the state. The Association of Direct Response Fundraising Counsel (ADRFCO) is seeking clarification due to the confusion when Nevada rolled out their previous charity registration law which primarily affected Nevada corporations and those with a presence in Nevada requiring foreign qualification in the Nevada.
