Maryland Fundraising Registration Requirements
Maryland law requires that charitable organizations and institutions that solicit contributions in or from this state register with the Office of the Secretary of State. The Maryland law governing charity registration is found in Ann. Code, Business Regulation Article Sec. 6-101 through 6-701.
To register in Maryland:
Complete the COR-92 Registration Statement and mail to:

Initial Filing Fee: Sliding scale fee up to $300
Requirements: Governing Documents, IRS Form 990 and Financial Statement
Annual Renewal: Yes
Annual Renewal Fee: Sliding scale fee up to $300
Extension Available: Automatic
Does charitable registration require Corporate Registration: No
Does charitable registration require a Registered Agent: No
Maryland offers Educational and Religious Exemptions.
